Student Reviews

Dublin is a magical place, full of young people but also of culture! I have had many experiences there! When I had free time, after class, I always went for a walk in the city center or I met other students.

Martina, Italy

My host family was always gentle and I extended my stay. We had dinner together almost every night, chatting about my school, my country, current affairs and so on.

Keiko, Japan

Further Information

Most students choose to stay with one of our experienced and carefully chosen local host families; staying with a local host family is an ideal way to practise English outside of the classroom.

All of our host families are carefully inspected and Garda vetted (police checked), and many of our host families have been hosting ATC’s students for a number of years.

Adult students are accommodated on a half board basis Monday to Friday with breakfast and dinner included and with full board at the weekends – which includes breakfast, packed lunch and dinner.

Junior students travelling as part of a group will stay on a full-board basis including bed, breakfast, packed lunch and evening meal on each day of their stay. All efforts will be made by ATC to allocate groups on the same public transport route where possible.

Our host families for ATC Dublin are located in the suburbs away from the centre of the city yet close to public transport links. ATC Dublin will be reached by public transport, either by Dublin Bus, DART (Metro) or Luas (tram); travel time from our host families to the city centre is between 30 and 60 minutes.

Our host families are happy to provide meals to suit different dietary requirements; ATC Language Schools should be notified in advance of any allergies or specific food requests that students may have. A dietary supplement will apply for vegetarian, vegan, coeliac & lactose intolerant diets.

Students aged 18 and over can choose to stay on a self-catering basis in a student residence in the city centre.

ATC reserve accommodation in a modern student residence which offers comfortable single rooms with ensuite bathrooms. The student residence is approximately 30 minutes walking distance from ATC Dublin.

The student residence has fully fitted kitchens with utensils, a laundry room for student use, free high speed Wi-Fi and bed linen is provided. Towels are to be provided by the student. An on-site gym, social areas and a café are also available.
