Exciting News from ATC – Living English

Apr 4, 2025

We’re excited to announce that ATC Language Schools has acquired Irish based Demi-pair Programme provider ‘Living English’.

Living English was founded 25 years ago and has always been independently owned, welcoming hundreds of students to enjoy a cultural and academic experience in Ireland; in particular Living English focuses on the Demi-pair Programme where students enjoy the opportunity to immerse themselves fully into Irish family life whilst improving their English at school.

We’re thrilled to announce that to ensure a smooth transition with the day-to-day operations of Living English, Aoife Mulvihill has joined the ATC team as Director of Market Development. Aoife has worked in the international education industry for over 20 years and will work with the ATC and UKLC teams on a number of projects, as well as maintaining open communications between the welcoming demi-pair families, our partner agents and students.

For those who already know Living English, please be assured that the standards of care and attention that you have come to expect will be continued, and the wider support of ATC Language Schools will only serve to maintain and enhance the quality of programmes.

For those who are not familiar with Living English, the most popular programme, as mentioned above, is the Demi-pair Programme. This programme has four key components:

  • Accommodation:
The demi-pair is provided with a single room and full board in a carefully selected family home with children where they are welcomed as part of the family.
  • Tuition:
The demi-pair attends international General English language lessons or an exam preparation programme at ATC Language Schools in Bray or Dublin city centre.
  • Light duties:
In exchange for full board accommodation and monthly travel pass, the demi-pair assists the family with light household and childminding duties, as well as 2 nights’ babysitting per month.
  • Immersion:
The demi-pair has the opportunity to fully immerse into Irish culture and family life.

For further information and pricing please feel free to contact Aoife at info@livingenglish.ie who will be delighted to assist you with those details.
