Why You Should Learn English In Ireland And Our Two Favourite Towns

Why should you learn English in Ireland?
Ireland is famous for its welcoming and friendly culture, and so this is one reason Ireland is one of the best places in the world to learn English.
Ireland is also home to stunning landscapes and enough music, food and craic to fill all your evenings, you will struggle to find somewhere better than Ireland to explore. 

Explore Ireland and Europe
Both our small size and perfect location on the edge of Europe make Ireland an ideal location for exploring. You can easily visit the Cliffs of Moher from anywhere in Ireland, listen to live music and explore the many castles and hidden gems. Ireland has more to discover than you can imagine.

It is also very easy to use your home in Bray or Dublin to visit beautiful European cities; Dublin Airport has connections to all major European cities. You can take weekend trips with friends; sip wine in Paris, visit the historic sites of Rome or head to the beach in Spain, all only a couple of hours from Dublin.

Why studying English in Ireland is perfect:
You will of course learn English while you are here, but you will also develop skills to last you a lifetime; you will learn how to order a drink in a crowded bar, navigate the country roads of Connemara, and understand the accents of the Aran islands.
If you can do all of this, you will be able to overcome many of life’s obstacles.
You will find Ireland is home to incredible music, literary greats, brilliant actors and friendly people.

Why you should study English in Dublin
Dublin is the perfect sized city for anyone who is exploring Ireland or a new country for the first time. Dublin’s historic and cultural sites are all within walking distance of the city centre.

What you will find in Dublin:
When you explore the city, you will find the Guinness storehouse and the Jameson factory. Visit our many museums, art galleries and live music locations. Spend a night in the world-famous Temple Bar. An ideal location for food music and drinks with friends.
Of course, there are also plenty of locations where you can go shopping in Dublin, from the famous Grafton Street south of the River Liffey to Moore Street on the north of the city.

If you are feeling hungry and would like a taste of home, Dublin has a large variety of options in addition to traditional Irish cuisine; from Brazilian to Mexican, Spanish, Vietnamese and Thai, you will be spoilt for choice when looking for somewhere to eat in Dublin.

You can easily find buses, taxis, the DART (local train) and the Luas (local tram) to help you get around, and use them to travel outside of Dublin when you want to explore even more. Dublin is also home to one of the largest inner city parks in Europe, Phoenix Park; a great place for your enjoy the outdoors so close to Ireland’s capital city, you can even hire bikes and cycle around Phoenix Park.

The People of Dublin
Dublin is home to some of the friendliest people in the world, as is the rest of Ireland. Irish people are welcoming and inquisitive and will often ask you questions about your home.
You’ll probably overhear new phrases and slang that Irish people love to use. If they talk a little too fast just ask them to slow down, and they will be happy to help you out.

Most importantly Dublin is home to ATC Language Schools. Here you will make new friends from all over the world. You can practice and study English in a relaxed environment, explore the city with your friends and find interesting locations even we don’t know about.

Why you should study English in Bray
If you want a local Irish experience and would like to live in another part of Ireland, then Bray is the perfect location.
Bray is a town located in ‘Ireland’s Ancient East’ and it is an idyllic Irish town on the east coast of the country, it has all the charm and warmth that you would expect.

Bray is a short journey south of Dublin city centre, and it is one of the nicest seaside towns in Ireland. Bray also has good job opportunities and many accommodation options if you would like to stay in Bray for a while.
If you enjoy refreshing coastal walks, incredible landscapes, and friendly locals, then Bray is the perfect location to live and study in Ireland.

You can get the DART (local train) to Dublin easily, ensuring you don’t miss any big weekend plans in the city. Living in Bray means you have all the benefits of Dublin but in a more relaxed and homely location.
ATC in Bray is located next to Oscar Wilde’s childhood holiday home; Oscar Wilde is one of Ireland’s greatest writers. If you are ever lacking the motivation to study, think of where you are.
