    This course is tailored to educators and administrative staff seeking to enhance their English communication skills for professional use. Through realistic tasks, collaborative projects, and role-plays, partipants will develop confidence and fluency in managing daily interactions in educational settings. The programme covers key areas such as professional communication, interpersonal skills, public speaking and conflilct resolution, ensuring participants can engage effectively in diverse professional contexts.

    The aim of this course is to:

    • Build practical English communication skills tailored to educational environments,
    • Strengthen participants’s ability to handle workplace interactions confidently,
    • Foster cultural awareness and adaptability in international professional settings.

    Applicants must have minimum level of A2 level of English, as outlined in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. If you would like to confirm your level, please contact us.

    Course content

    This course is structured around 5 core modules:

    1. Professional Communication Skills: Participants will learn to draft and respond to workplace emails, make effective phone calls, and understand the nuances of formal versus informal language. Key tasks include writing practice and simulated workplace communication scenarios.
    2. Interpersonal Communication in Education: This module focuses on active listening, giving feedback, and managing meetings. Participants will engage in role-plays to practice agreeing, disagreeing, and suggesting while honing their ability to clarify and take turns in discussions.
    3. Problem Solving and Conflict Resolution: Emphasis is placed on diplomatic language and collaborative decision-making. Through role-plays, participants practice resolving workplace misunderstandings and negotiating solutions.
    4. Public Speaking and Presentations: Participants will develop skills for structuring and delivering presentations, managing nerves, and engaging audiences effectively. Practical tasks include preparing and delivering short presentations using persuasive and sequencing language.
    5. Course Project: In this module, participants will prepare a final presentation that synthesizes the skills and knowledge gained throughout the course. They will present their project to peers, receiving feedback to further enhance their communication and presentation skills.

    Learning Outcomes:
    By the end of this course, participants will better be able to:

    • Communicate clearly and professionally in both spoken and written English,
    • Participate actively in meetings, discussions, and group settings,
    • Deliver confident and structured presentations,
    • Adapt their communication style to different professional and cultural contexts,
    • Handle workplace challenges such as conflict resolution with appropriate language and strategies.

    Teaching Style

    The English for Educators and Administrative Staff course combines course input from ATC’s trainers with group discussion and collaborative work. Throughout the course participants are given the opportunity to apply their learning by engaging in varied production activities such as roleplays, discussions, mini projects and presentations.

    Certificated hours

    At the end of the course, teachers will receive an ATC Language Schools’ Certificate of Attendance for the 30 hour English for Educators & Administrative Staff programme.

    This 1 week course can be combined with another Teacher Training & Development programme, or a General English course, to form a 2-week programme. Please contact us for details.
