Erasmus+ Projects Course at ATC

At ATC Language Schools we are pleased to provide programmes for students of tomorrow, offering opportunities for school groups to travel to Ireland and choose a programme focusing on the Erasmus+ Key Action 1.
Each Erasmus+ projects course can be chosen as part of our mini-stay programmes, in Bray or Dublin.

Who is it for?

Our Erasmus+ projects are designed for primary (aged 10-12 years) and secondary students (aged 13-17 years) travelling abroad as a school group.

We request a minimum level of English of B1 for secondary school projects.

Groups from primary schools do not need a minimum level of English.

Erasmus+ funding is applicable to European countries, however, these projects are available for any groups travelling to ATC from around the world.

The teacher introduced what sustainable and eco-tourism stands for and what their goals are. When we talk about sustainable tourism we mean the ethical impact of tourism on local people and its economical and social development, while ecotourism refers to the environmental impact of tourism. Erasmus+ Projects Course for School Groups

This project examines key aspects of a sustainable and green future and evaluates ways in which we can achieve this. Students research various initiatives taken by individuals, communities, cities and nations, aimed towards creating a greener future for our planet. Students collaborate in small project groups to consider how they, as active and global citizens, might make a difference. At the end of the programme students present their projects using a variety of digital media.

The aim of this project is to support students in developing, through English, the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to achieve a sustainable and green future.

On this programme, students will:

  • develop their understanding of sustainable development goals and initiatives
  • critically analyse and evaluate the success of various sustainability initiatives
  • consider how the themes of the programme relate to them and their community
  • consider how they can make a positive difference as global citizens
  • develop their communicative competence through English, by engaging in collaborative tasks and project presentations
  • develop digital literacy skills in the development and presentation of their projects

Course length: 15 hours

This project is for: Secondary Students aged 12-14 or 15-17 year olds (this project can be tailored for lower or upper secondary students)

    STEAM – Primary & Secondary

    STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths, and this course integrates these five subjects into task-based, interactive sessions.
    ATC’s STEAM course is ideal for students with lots of curiosity, an enquiring mind, and those who love to investigate the ‘why?’ The programme encourages students to explore the world around them, nurture their curiosity, get creative and learn practical new skills and subjects. This course is offered at two levels and is aimed at closed groups of either primary students aged between 10 and 12 years old, or secondary students aged between 13 and 16 years old and it’s full of hands-on learning opportunities.

    The approach to the STEAM subjects allows students to develop their critical thinking skills with a different and exciting investigation each day. Whether you are interested in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art or Maths, there is something for everyone in each topic we explore!

    On this course, students will learn how to:

    • explore topics using the discovery-based process: Focus, Detail, Discovery, Application, Presentation and Link

    Course length: 15 hours

    World of Work – Skills for the next Generation

    This skills-based programme prepares students for the world of work through English. It encourages students to think into their future, to think critically about the world of work and how it affects their lives. The programme provides young people with the opportunity to explore their interests and consider a possible future career – as a successful employee or as a budding entrepreneur. Students are supported in developing important career skills through English – self-branding, CV writing, job hunting, interviewing, presenting – in preparation for their future working lives in a global economy.

    On this programme, students will learn how to:

    • consider their strengths and interests, and explore possible future career options.
    • prepare appropriately for jobs in the international jobs market.
    • use digital tools to write an impressive CV in English.
    • consider their digital footprint and manage their own self brand online.
    • carry out a job interview through English.
    • work collaboratively in a ‘startup’ team to develop a product or service.
    • develop a basic business plan using a Business Model Canvas.
    • give a clear presentation, with slides, to pitch a product or service.
